Turn the rackets you no longer use into an opportunity for someone else!

Rackets for Africa is a charity drive giving women and children in Ghana tennis rackets and have the opportunity to participate in free tennis clinics.

What are we collecting? Tennis rackets! We will collect rackets in any condition, new or used, as long as they are strung.

Where can I donate? We will be collecting rackets at the Montclair Beach Club from October 11th through November 5th. There will be a collection box next to the tennis courts available 24/7. The address is 725 Grove St, Clifton, NJ 07013.

What will happen to the rackets? We have partnered with the former no. 1 female tennis player in Ghana, Francisca Nyarko, who will deliver the rackets to women and children in Ghana and organize free tennis clinics throughout Ghanian villages.

Why are we doing this?

We are turning to our tennis community to help share the sport with those who are less fortunate. We are partnering with Rackets for Africa, a foundation started by Francisca Nyarko, the former no. 1 women’s tennis player from Ghana, who is playing college tennis here in the United States. Francisca was introduced to tennis when a nonprofit organization came to her village to distribute rackets and offer free clinics. This ignited her passion for the game and ultimately led to her receiving a full college scholarship to play tennis.

Francisca attributes her success in tennis to the donated rackets and clinics and her goal is to provide young women and children with the same opportunity. She will be distributing our donated rackets and offering free clinics in Ghana beginning this December. We are excited to be partnering with Francisca and will continue to post information on our website about the activities of the Rackets for Africa Foundation.
